FLIGHTLAB® FUNCTIONAL MOCK-UP UNIT

FLFMU BETA v1.0 Available

FLFMU allows users to define an input/output interface and generate a functional mock-up unit (FMU) of a FLIGHTLAB runtime model. A beta release of the FLIGHTLAB FMU generation tool (FLFMU) is now available for release to selected ART customers.

FLFMU allows users to define an input/output interface and generate a functional mock-up unit (FMU) of a FLIGHTLAB runtime model. The generated FMU can readily be integrated with other simulation software such as Mathworks Simulink, National Instruments LabVIEW, FMPython, and more. For example, Simulink allows FMUs to be integrated via the Library Browser. The user links the Simulink FMU block with the FLIGHTLAB FMU. The input and output ports will be instantiated as defined in the I/O interface (see ICD) of the FMU. The number of input/output ports is equivalent to the blocks in the ICD. If there are multiple signals in each block, signals are instantiated as buses in Simulink.

FLIGHTLAB FMUs require a FLIGHTLAB runtime license and can be used in the Linux and Windows operating systems. Applications of FLFMU include flight control design and other engineering disciplines where a fully nonlinear representation of the aircraft flight dynamics is required. The FLFMU feature is not intended for real time applications.
